Glass House Fall & HOLIDAY Petite Sessions

I am so excited for your fall sessions that will take place in a stunning glass house. It will offer a beautiful neutral decor and will allow me to capture so many wonderful timeless photos. The glass house is filled with props including various chairs, stools, poufs, and a loveseat. There is also a twin sized day bed with various pillows and throw blankets.

PARKING - There are 3 designated parking spaces labeled specifically for greenhouse parking ( SEE BELOW ). I will be using one of these spaces, allowing for 2 additional cars, the family’s session that I will be photographing, plus allowing for the next family to arrive, park and prepare for their session. You may start walking up to the glass house 1 minute prior to your scheduled session. My daughter Mallory will greet you while I finish up with the prior family.

Please do not hang out in your car after the session since there are only 3 spots and I will be doing back to back families.

TEMPERATURE OF THE GLASS HOUSE - The greenhouse is heated with a natural gas furnace for the colder months. There is no air conditioning. However, there is an exhaust fan/ventilation system to keep the building cooler. Understand that it is a glass house so while protected from the outside elements, it is not insulated and temperature can fluctuate with the weather.

BATHROOM - The glass house does NOT have a bathroom. These sessions are 15 minutes long and I ask that you try to use the restroom before arriving. There IS a bathroom in the white barn studio which is next to the glass house, however since this is the busy fall and holiday session time, there may be another photographer doing a photoshoot in the barn. IF the barn is occupied by another photographer ( very likely ) and you or your child need to use the restroom, you can use the barn restroom. If you see a sign on the door that says “private photoshoot in session please knock”… please just knock first as a courtesy to the photographer that is renting that space.

ENTRY - There is a little run upon entering the glass house. At the request of the owner, she asks that you just wipe your feet a bit before entering to help keep the glass house clean.

DECOR - The decor in the glass house will be neutral for fall and for holiday will have classic colors of green’s and reds with neutrals.

SESSION ARRIVAL - I am renting this beautiful space and will have back to back families. Please arrive on time for your session as I cannot run over on sessions times since I will have other families arriving.


STYLING TIPS

  1. Mix different patterns and textures. Don’t mix same patterns ( plaids with plaids, etc)

  2. Coordinate don’t match, unless you love this look. Otherwise pick 2-3 colors and sprinkle in neutrals

  3. Stay away from big logos, athletic shoes, and neon colors. Choose colors with the decor in mind.

  4. Don’t forget accessories! Cardigans, beanies, vests, knit socks, etc to add warmth and style
